About to leave Newcastle and drive to Sydney in pouring rain to catch our flight tomorrow morning - have to be at the airport 6am. Bag full of goodies to take to hospitals and give to the girls who go to the orphanages. I don't visit the orphanages - I think it would be too painful - it is hard enough when you visit the NICUs and there is a row of babies tucked up in little beds waiting to go to the orphanage - last year we feed them and tears welled in my eyes the whole time - all too emotional for me - going to an orphanage would be 100 times worse. So I give others who are going things I have brought from Australia. I love Vietnam, the people have a serendity about them but at the same time the energy that they have is amazing.
