Saturday pm
Well I have finally got on - first of all the instructions about how to open, load etc for the blog is all in Vietnamese so after alot of working out I have finally got on - I can not seem to load from my iphone despite being able to at home - it keeps say - your network has failed or what ever. So it seems I will not be able to load photos unless I get them onto a usb or email them to me - I will see what I can do.
HCMC is the same - traffic is thick with thousands of motorbikes and cars with the odd bicyle bravely weaving their way through. The vietnamese seem to be obeying road rules more than last year which makes crossing the road less of heart in the mouth exercise. Food is as usual - fabulous - though we have been bad by having lunch at Stellas Cafe. Here we get to eat the most beautiful caprese - the tomatoes taste like tomatoes and the soft cheese melts in your mouth along with basil and lovely olive oil. We adventured out to a new shopping complex to visit the big supermarket to get supplies for our feeding workshops - like baby bottles, nipple shields for breast feeding mothers etc. Its fascinating to look what is for sale in supermarkets overseas - all these mouthwatering asian foods, fruits and fish - yumo!!!!!
Dinner was across the road from the hotel - sitting outside watching thousands of bikes zoom paste - single drivers - parents with three kids of varying ages hanging on with ease and the toddler sitting up from in a can chair. Adults need to wear helmets but not children - don't understand that.....I had stirfried morning glory (water spinach) with loads of garlic and chilli, with lovely pieces of chicken ...
